Campaign Manager (Maternity Cover)
Save the Children International is currently looking to appoint a Campaign Manager, on an 11 month maternity cover contract. The role is currently based in London, but we can be flexible for the right candidate.
In this demanding role you will campaign for change at both a strategic and operational level. Building our reactive and humanitarian campaigning capacity across the Save the Children movement will be an important dimension of this role, along with building our campaigning capacity in the global South. This role will require you to lead cross-organisational campaign project and initiatives, as well as coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will have proven success in the development and implementation of creative campaigns and of building coalitions for change. Your excellent project management skills will have given you a track record of taking large-scale projects from inception through to execution. You will also have the ability to identify opportunities for engaging the public in advocacy strategies and converting these into clear campaign messaging and activities. In addition you will have experience of achieving change in the global south as well as in the global north, using a range of tactics, and of building the capacity of others to deliver effective campaigns.
From a personal perspective, you will also have strong written and spoken communication skills, with the nous to tailor your delivery to specific audiences. You will demonstrate excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, to enable you to build capacity and to interact with stakeholders. You will have a strong commitment to the values at Save the Children.
Please be aware that this role will require you to travel away from London for approximately 30% of your time, and although the location for the role is flexible you will still need to have the right to live and work in that location.
